Good Bones + Classic Black & White

Project: Kitchen

The project was a hybrid for this client. They were purchasing a condo that had been renovated a few years earlier but the kitchen layout didn’t fit their needs. So the bones were good and we worked to redesign, and help the client select the builder and trades that worked on the original renovation. We ended up with a sustainable option of a partial renovation vs. a complete tear out and start over.

The Titanium island slab was one of the items the clients wanted to keep if at all possible.  So, by working with skilled craftspeople, we were able to retrofit the cabinets we needed to on the island while keeping the slab intact.

We designed the plan, guided on the appliances and plumbing selections, and then selected the dimensional backsplash to offer some interest and texture to the main wall, which ended up also the feature wall.

The kitchen functions now for the clients needs and by working with a great team we were able to get the renovation complete ahead of schedule and even a little under the estimated budget.

Careful planning— having everything possible on site when the construction started— was key to this smooth renovation.
