Transitional Riverview Condo
South Waterfront, Portland
Project Type: Renovation
A great project that we worked on in three phases, over the course of seven years.
Phase One was to curate lighting, paint, wallpaper and furnishings – embracing her long-held desire for a grey home. After living all over the country, and in eight different homes, she was finally going to get it.
Phase Two was to embrace the need for dining storage, den, and office space with new custom cabinets and built-ins – and an updated kitchen. I often say it takes a “village” for us to do our job and in this case, the dining built-in truly exemplified that. Counting from the initial design to the completed mirror accent, a total of eight trade contractors, vendors, artisans and designers were involved! The result is a bespoke piece that embodies craftsmanship, function, and detail, while expressing a timeless and luxurious look.
Phase Three involved updating the Primary Bedroom and Bathroom as well as the Guest Suite – a new vanity for the primary addressing their needs for storage and function and making it fun with a very personalized wallpaper and their love of the tropics.
The Guest Room was another wonderful nod to their love of travel which inspired the accessories, features, and details. Reframing a wonderful memory of a great trip they took to Africa brought it to life. We curated the selections, keeping the vision in mind, and their memories of a well-traveled life.
